Top 10 Foods to Include in Your Daily Meals to Support Healthy Liver Detoxification:

  • Grapefruit*
  • Brussel Sprouts

Steps you can take to start reducing your body’s toxic burden:

  • Eat a Clean, Healthy Diet:

    • Avoid: Processed foods; fast foods; food additives like MSG, BHT. BHA. benzoate, sulfites, food coloring including FD& C yellow, #5, #6, etc. ; hormones & antibiotics in animal products; artificial sweeteners; high consumption of mercury-containing large fish(such as albacore tuna and swordfish); aluminum cookware.
  • Drink Clean: 
    • Choose: Purified/Filtered water; Drink plenty of water every day – about half your body weight in ounces – and preferably from glass, porcelain or stainless steel containers.
    • Avoid: Bottled water; chlorinated drinking water; soft drinks. Consider limiting your consumption of alcoholic beverages as alcohol strains your body’s detoxification system.
  • Breathe Clean: How clean is the air in your home? Consider using an air purifier with a HEPA filter to improve the quality of your indoor air.
  • Cleanse Your Personal Care Products: Avoid using cosmetics containing: diethanolamine (DEA), triethanolamine (TEA), nitrosamines (these are just a few of the many toxic chemicals found in cosmetics);
    • Avoid shampoo that contains polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, DMDM hydantoin, sodium lauryl sulfate, coal tar, polysorbates 60 & 80, FD & C 60 & 80.
